Credit history-building tool LOQBOX was hit by a cyber attack which was discovered on 20th February 2020. The information accessed by the hackers potentially could be misused for fraudulent purposes and included:
The LOQBOX data breach meant that many customers may have had their personal identifiable information accessed. This potentially put many at risk of financial fraud, phishing attacks and further privacy violations, a situation which could have led to a high degree of stress and anxiety. As the breach included some degree of financial information, it’s only natural that customers were concerned and fearful that their data may have been used for unlawful purposes. Despite measures following the data hacking, there is no guarantee for customers that the breach will not result in future fraud and financial loss.
If you were a victim of this attack and had your information stolen you can make a claim for LOQBOX data breach compensation. You may be entitled to compensation for distress caused by the hack plus you may also be able to claim for any financial loss as a result of the cyberattack.
We can put you in touch with expert data breach solicitors who are putting together a collective group claim that will bring together the large number of LOQBOX customers. If you are a LOQBOX customer and received notification about involvement in the data breach, you are eligible to join our group claim.
LOQBOX has attempted to play down the potential impact of the hack but must be held accountable for any data security failures that made the attack possible. Even when the data incident was discovered, they did not inform customers for over a week, which could have left them vulnerable to the increased risk.

Data breach experts
We use dedicated data breach solicitors who have handled thousands of data breach claims
Customers have the right to expect that any personal or financial data that they have shared with an organisation, such as LOQBOX, is securely stored and handled. When data protection standards have fallen short, and in this case a hack has enabled unauthorised access to your personal data, you can make a claim for compensation.
The exposure of data such as names, addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, telephone numbers and some payment card data can be problematic and leave you at immediate risk of fraud. The fact that there was a delay in notifying affected customers means that you were exposed to this increased risk for at least a week before being informed.
If you think you may have a valid LOQBOX data breach claim then get in touch with us and we will put you in touch with data breach experts who will make enquiries regarding your claim and confirm whether or not you have a case worth pursuing. We can put you in touch with legal experts who are putting together a group claim whereby the thousands of customers can be part of a collective claim for LOQBOX data breach compensation. Group actions can often have a bigger impact than a single claim and therefore increase the potential for a higher level of compensation.
We can help you receive the maximum amount of compensation for your LOQBOX data breach claim, so if you’ve received notification about the data breach, or think that your personal data may have been part of the breach, be sure to start a claim with us.
